It's a KS47 gen 2 upper I bought stripped from Palmetto State Armory. You can do it with gen 1 uppers as well, but you have to put in your own overinsertion stops into the upper. Otherwise, standard barrel and bolt. Bolt carrier is cut to accept AK mags. gd 720 lit I played swaparoo with the KS47 upper as well as run of the mill 7.62x39 and 5.45x39 uppers and only the KS47 upper would work on the KS47 lower with the AKM mags. 5.45 AK74 mags wouldn't work in the KS47 lower either, though it makes snese as the AK74 has a slightly differentmagwell compared to the AKM pattern.
